After the unexpected death of my father in late May 2006, I left Australia and travelled around Eastern Europe for a few months. As winter was approaching I was contemplating my next destination. The decision was made when I heard news that Steve was in New York City.

I arrived mid January and together we experienced the vibrant sites and soulful sounds of the most energetic city in the western world. An idea was born over many Jim Beam, Ginger and Limes that we should drive from NYC to RIO and shoot a documentary along the way.

I returned home to Sydney for a few months to reconnect with family and friends and begin preparation for the trip.

Booking my flight back to NYC and taking off from home soil solidified my commitment that was previously bonded. This feeling alone was one of achievement and accomplishment cause from here on there was no turning back.

For so long I have dreamt of circumnavigating the globe. Fortunately it has taken an unfortunate situation to occur to awake this drive from inside of me and to strive for what I consider to be important in my life.

Sharing the love, life and happiness with anyone who is interested is what I can give back in an effort to inspire, the same inspiration that my father gave to me.
